Welcome to Powerful Healing Sound - a place to pause, reconnect and rebalance through the gentle potency of vibration and presence.

We live in a world which seems to keep us continuously engaged.

Sound and vibration, whether we make or receive it, invite us to connect with ourselves and each other, to be re-tuned, and to access that place of quiet refuge which is within us all. It is where our intuition speaks to us clearly and where self-healing can begin.

I aim to provide a safe, inclusive space for those who are interested in exploring the the possibilities offered by healing sound.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to join a group or arrange a one-to-one session with me.

About me

As a writer and a musician, words and sounds are at the heart of who I am. In the early part of my life, I was equally passionate about learning new languages, singing songs from different eras, traditions and genres, and playing my clarinet.

Following a prolonged recovery from glandular fever in my 20s, I began exploring holistic approaches to health and spent a year studying homeopathy. This led to collaborations with different practitioners to produce to a series of self-help books in the field of health and wellbeing.

I was drawn back into music while my sons were immersed in life as choristers in Cambridge and have been working therapeutically with music since 2013. For many years, I ran singing groups for people with dementia and their carers, and saw the way sound and song created connection and joy where there was growing isolation.

That led me to embark on the Sound Healing with the Voice Training at the College of Sound Healing in 2022. I learned and practised a range of vocal sound healing techniques and both witnessed and experienced for myself the impact of vibration, harmonics and silence on the human body and energy field.

Offerings

I offer one-to-one treatments in person and online using the structure and rhythm of scales and healing intervals and the energetic power of seed sounds (Bija Mantra from the Vedic tradition) to bring the mind, body and emotions into harmony and the energy centres back into balance.

We start with a consultation and diagnostic session to explore the changes you are seeking and establish the most suitable sound treatment for the session. My charges are on a sliding scale based on what you can afford.

Group sound baths are a lovely introduction to the experience of healing sound and vibration which can be positively reinforced by the collective energy. I use a range of sounds and instruments in addition to my voice - shruti box, chimes, singing bowls, gong, drum. They last an hour.

I’ll be offering some taster sessions at the Balsam Centre in Wincanton in the autumn, do come along!
